It is with great pleasure I welcome you to the Department of Hindi Studies at the University of Kelaniya. I would highlight its legacy as the only independent department for Hindi Studies among Sri Lankan universities. Our history traces back to the very beginning of the University. Since then, we've remained committed towards the enrichment Hindi Language, Hindi Literature and North Indian Culture at scholarly level and promoting Hindi as a foreign language in Sri Lanka. Moreover, we dedicate towards strengthening language studies and bridging humanities with other related disciplines, working collaboratively with our stakeholders.
