• Organized the First Hindi Seminar in Sri Lanka, at the University of Kelaniya in collaboration with the High Commission of India, Colombo, in 1998 to mark the Golden Jubilee of Independence of Sri Lanka and the 40th anniversary of the University of Kelaniya. 
• Organized the Hindi film Festival, from 22nd – 26th March 1999, presented by the Hindi Parishad and the Department of Hindi, University of Kelaniya, in collaboration with the High Commission of India and the Indian Cultural Center, Colombo.
