MoU on the establishment of the ICCR Chair of Hindi

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Indian Council for Cultural Relations, India, and the University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka, in 2017. It was aimed to encourage academic discourse, exchange of knowledge, collaboration, and research work of the undergraduates and the academics of the Department of Hindi Studies, University of Kelaniya, with the expertise of a native Hindi scholar. 

A Visiting Professor was deployed through the MoU signed in 2017, and his service was taken from June 2017 to November 2019 as the first half of the 5-year contract period.
